Designed for local artist Susan Amidon who needed a website to showcase her talent, keep her fans up to date and of course sell her paintings on the Internet.

I built the website around a Flash gallery which is displayed on the home page. Each piece of art is added to a slide show that is created using Photo Flash Maker Professional. The slide show is easily customizable with PFM and then uploaded to the website.

Susan's website is easy to keep updated with a back-end interface. Each page has its own place where text and photos can be added. Text is added with a WYSIWYG text and HTML editor CKEditor. This enables each page to be updated as though the content was edited with an expensive word processor.

The back end also allows an image of each piece of art to be uploaded and stored with details of the painting and a price. This displays the piece in the browser with a larger image and a button to purchase it. Sales are done through PayPal.

This site is hosted by Globat a professional hosting company. The web pages are coded in HTML, PHP and some Javascript. The database is MySQL.
